Riverbend Floats, on the scenic Illinois River. Our boats and equipment are fresh and clean. We float the most scenic section of the Illinois River. Our section of the river is typically uncrowded and peaceful even on the weekends and is very family friendly. Our goal is for you and your group or family to have an amazing river experience. KAYAK and CANOE RATES
Trip A - Relaxing 2-4 hour trip, perfect for half a day
Trip B - Longer 4-8 hour trip, spend the full day on the river
* Minimum charge = 4 adults per raft. Children 10 & under ride for 1/2 price with 4 paid adults.
*When reserving online please reserve for adults only. Children can be added upon arrival at our office.
Kayaks do have space for a small cooler. Please bring a strap to secure the cooler.
*Single person in tandem kayak or canoe pays two person price
Weekdays - $15 person (2-5 Hours)
Weekends & Holidays - $20 person
CHECK IN PROCEDURES
1. Check in at Riverbend Floats office.
2. Pick up your paddles & life vests.
3. Load on the bus and go to the river!
Group rates for 20 or more persons. Group leader must manage the sign up of all group members and requires a single payment for services.
LATE FEES and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please note that float duration are approximate times depending on conditions. All boats are due at our landing no later than 7 pm. Any boats arriving between 7pm and 8pm will be charged a $50.00 late fee. Any boat arriving after 8pm will be charged a $100.00 late fee.
No refunds on floats. We float rain or shine. We do offer rain checks on floats if river levels are unsafe.
Limit one 50 quart or smaller ice chest per boat.
No Styrofoam coolers allowed.
Car keys are required for deposit on all boats.
IMPORTANT SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT
For safety reasons, tying boats together is against GRDA rules. Violators will receive a fine of $206.00+. GRDA does not issue warnings and is known to strictly enforce this rule. Violators will be fined.
Do not tie boats together.
Riverbend Floats does not allow any inflatable or other private flotation device, other than life vests, on our bus.

6'.................................Children 10 and under shall float in rafts only
6' 6"............................Kayak floating restricted to those 16 years of age and older
7' 6"............................No children 10 and under
8’……………………………Kayak floating ceases
9’ 6”………………………All floating ceases
Muddy water...........All floating ceases
